Bourbon Slush
February 2010
Bourbon Slush
2 cups bourbon
1 large can frozen orange juice
1 large can frozen lemonade
8 cups boiling water
1 & 1/2 cups sugar
1 jar maraschino cherries
4 tea bags
2 cups hot water
lemon-lime soda (or orange soda)
Steep tea bags in 2 cups hot water. Remove tea bags. Mix tea and all other ingredients (soda) together. Freeze in container for 24 hours. When ready to serve, scoop slush into glass and add some lemon-lime soda to make slushy. You could also substitute orange soda for lemon-lime for more of an orange kick. Enjoy!
Why Bourbon Slush:
It's our good friend Q's birthday month, and in honor of that we have used one of his favorite ingredients in our drink of the month, bourbon! Bourbon slush is a tasty frozen treat, even if people don't care for bourbon straight up. It's also a great recipe for a party, and this year the Super Bowl falls in February so make it for your Super Bowl party!
